Aides assist catechists and substitutes fill in as needed.
Attendance at trainings and meetings is expected of catechists and aides.
Jobs designated as a rotating schedule mean you do not have to volunteer every Wed.
CATECHIST: Wednesday afternoons at St. John School. Teach 10 - 14 children using specific lesson plans, while incorporating activities and projects.
AIDE: Wednesday afternoons at St. John School. Assist catechist in projects, listening to prayers, supervising and directing children in the group.
ATTENDANCE CALLER: Wednesday afternoons at St. John School. Pick up attendance slips, record attendance and call homes of unexcused absences to check on safety. Rotating schedule.
BUS CHAPERONE: Ride bus to Prairie School and chaperone a bus back to St. John School. Rotating schedule.
WALKING CHAPARONE: Accompany kids from Heritage School to St. John School. Rotating schedule.
BABYSITTER: Provide childcare for young children of our volunteer catechists and aides. Rotating schedule.

SET-UP: As needed for classes, special activities, retreats, etc.
CLEAN-UP: As needed after classes and after special activities, retreats, etc.
MATERIALS AIDE: At home preparing materials for classes or retreats. Involves tracing, cutting, printing, filing, etc.
PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEO TAPING: Taking pictures or video taping special activities as needed.
YOUTH GROUP LEADERS: Plan and assist with social, service and special activities for St. John’s Youth Group.
