COMMITTEES
ATHLETIC
ASSOCIATION BOARD:
The Athletic Association Board is comprised of ten
parents and the Director. The ten are made up of eight parents that have a child
participating in the program during the current school year and two parents that
have children in school at St. John’s that are not yet participating in
Athletics.
COMPUTER
TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE
The technology committee comprised of staff members and parent volunteers
interested in the direction of technology at our school. This committee develops
one and five year plans. This committee meets 2-4 times per year, as necessary.
EDUCATION
COMMISSION:
The Education Commission plans for the school’s future and formulates and
approves policies for the school. The committee also provides counsel and advice
in the operation of the school. The Education Commission is comprised of the
chairpersons of the standing school committees, a parish council representative,
the pastor, the school principal and four members who are school parents.
HOME
AND SCHOOL ASSOCIATION:
This group coordinates student fund raising such as the annual pizza sales,
plans school community celebrations, supports school programs, and helps provide
financial tuition assistance when needed. The officers of the Home and School
Association, who include the President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer,
are recruited in April of each year.
MARKETING
AND PUBLIC RELATIONS COMMITTEE:
This committee works to recruit and retain students at St. John School
through various projects. This committee is responsible for the marketing of the
school within the parish, Waunakee community and surrounding areas. Members are
welcome to join at anytime.
SCHOOL
ENDOWMENT COMMITTEE:
This group identifies and spearheads fund raising efforts for the School
Endowment Fund and educates parish members about the endowment fund and how it
operates. The endowment fund provides a percentage of the financing for St. John
School. Members are recruited from the parish.
SCHOOL
FINANCE COMMITTEE:
This group studies past financial history, develops a multiple year
financial plan to secure the financial future of the school, establishes tuition
schedules, and studies all aspects of school finances. Members are recruited
from the school parents.
