VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL It’s Vacation Bible School (VBS) 2010 time! We’re very excited to present our program this summer and look forward to your child (children) being part of it. Vacation Bible School (VBS) is right around the corner. This year’s theme is SonQuest through the Rainforest, focusing on Jesus the Son of God every day. This summer, the children will adventure into the SonQuest Rainforest for an experience of discovery they’ll never forget! Each day will be based on one of five key Bible verses that will change a child’s life, including John 3:16. SonQuest Rainforest (VBS) will transport the children into a vivid rainforest environment full of jungle sounds, sights, and smells, where they’ll dig into the Bible and meet Jesus every day.
Please join us June 15-19 (Tuesday-Saturday) from
9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. for Bible stories and verse discovery, delicious snacks, creative crafts, fun games, and great music. On Saturday, we
will wrap up the week and have a fabulous family picnic afterward.
VBS is open to children between the ages of 4 by
June 1st, 2010, and those who will be entering the 4th grade in the fall.
We are in need of many adult and youth helpers to make this a successful event for our young people. Adults are needed to be responsible for the various centers and to be group leaders. Youth entering grades 5th - 12th are needed as group or center helpers. Please look over carefully the enclosed registration form for your child and also take a look at the volunteer form for the many ways you can be involved. Child-care will be available for volunteers with children under the age of 4. The fee for VBS is $30.00 per child if you register before April 30th and $35.00 per child after April 30th. No one will be denied a place at VBS; to inquire about our fee assistance program, please call the parish office. Our groups fill up fast, especially the pre-school and kindergarten groups, so I encourage you to sign up early! The final registration deadline is May 21st so that we can have enough supplies for each child. Here is an example of your child’s day: 8:45-9:00
